Vintage Navajo Rug, Transitional Banded Five Panel Wearing Blanket, ca 1885 - 1890 natural dye carpetsThis blanket was entirely woven in soft handspun Churro Wool The blanket is completely woven in natural undyed white, black and brown yarns. Solid neutral bands of colour are interspersed with rows of highly visual serrated half diamond panels in a classic blanket design format. This is a very good example of a late 19th century blanket in the time period when the Navajo weavers were transitioning from weaving blankets to rugs. Size: 41" x 63" Price:
