Swifts A3 linocut poster-print History and HeritageThis is an A3 poster print entitled 'Swifts' printed in dark grey and light brown. As well as the many swallows I see a lot round where I live, I also see a lot of swifts! They actually look quite different from each other when you study their detail. Rather than go for a single bird this time, and one standing (which I'm not sure I've ever seen them doing!), I wanted to capture them in flight, and in the acrobatic troops you sometimes see them in.

In the foreground are the tram tracks leading out of town across the iron bridge to the north of the city
