Growing in rocky sites on mountainsides as low mounded specimens. The plant is easy to grow, with multitudes of pink bell flowers held in groups of 4 5 nodding flowers. The thimble shaped flowers can also be red, purple or cream in color. We only have the pink form at this time. Hardy to 5 deg F.

Plant in a group of 3 or 5 and you will have a rookery

It needs some room to stretch and weep as the photo shows

but each plant will cover an area 18" in diameter

Dark green foliage on a large shrub growing 5 - 6 ft

Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil

The fall color is a brilliant rich red that can offer an effect that is stunning when back lit by morning or evening sun
