Throughout the southwest of Western Australia there are many waterfalls which only flow in the winter after weeks of heavy rainfall. A lot of the waterfalls are in hidden locations that only a few are aware of due to the lack of accessibility. This one is no exception. Some will be growing on tree trunks and fallen logs while others will be growing on the forest floor in sheltered and damp spots

It is a stunning location with a huge sweeping expanse of pristine beach

near Hamelin Bay

So much so that the bridge was recently destroyed by them and had to undergo some heavy-duty repairs

For those few that find it they are rewarded with its beauty and pristine condition

Adjacent to the beach is a section of the Cape to Cape track offering hikers a chance to cool off in the clear waters

It is also the closest town to Cape Leeuwin and its famous historic lighthouse

On a clear day the colour of the ocean resembles a deep jewel blue as the sandy bottom deepens

Hidden chalets nestled amongst the giants and surrounding hills
